“Live for the moments you can’t put into words”

My professional experiences as a preschool teacher (as well as a photographer), have taught me to expect the unexpected with most people, especially children. These “unexpected” moments provide a window into the purest essence of a child's joy, an unbridled strength of personal character, or the timeless love of a family bond. This is where those priceless pieces of time can be captured and frozen for you to cherish and pass on.

 

Regardless of whether I am photographing newborn babies, children, teens & seniors, or adults young of age or young at heart, I strive to capture the person or people within at that particular moment. And with my Fine Art Portraits and Storytelling offerings, my hope is to provide an even greater glimpse into their story. For me as a photographer, some of the most rewarding feedback to receive is someone saying, “Oh my goodness, is that really me?” in self-admiration.  The most rewarding is when they are unable to say anything at all because they are too busy feeling…

Relationships and time are both gifts to be cherished. Although both are constantly marching onward, this portfolio provides a small example of my ongoing attempts to capture a relationship and moment in time with depth, clarity, and emotion. I hope you enjoy!
